Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers may assist in areas such as:
Guest Services
Helping guests find seating, attractions, and event areas.
Entrance & Welcome Team
Greeting guests, scanning tickets, and assisting with entry flow.
Family Activity Areas
Helping manage games, kid zones, and attractions.
Information Booth
Answering questions and directing guests around the event.
Event Setup & Breakdown
Helping prepare event areas before opening and assisting after the event ends.
Community Outreach
Supporting sponsor booths, community tables, and nonprofit engagement areas.
Assignments may vary depending on event needs.
Volunteer Requirements
To volunteer with Jamz & Jokes, participants must:
• Be 16 years of age or older
• Be reliable and able to complete their assigned shift
• Follow all event policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with guests
• Be able to stand or move around for extended periods
Volunteers under 18 must have parent or guardian permission.
Volunteer Benefits
While volunteer roles are unpaid, volunteers receive:
• Free admission to the event on the day of their shift
• Official Jamz & Jokes volunteer credential
• Community service hours (if needed)
• Behind-the-scenes event experience
• The opportunity to support a major regional event
Volunteer Shifts
Volunteer shifts typically range from 3–5 hours depending on the event.
Typical shift blocks may include:
Morning Setup
Afternoon Guest Services
Evening Event Support
Night Breakdown
Exact schedules will be assigned prior to each event.
Volunteer Conduct
All volunteers represent the Jamz & Jokes event brand while on duty. Volunteers are expected to:
• Treat guests respectfully
• Follow instructions from event staff
• Avoid alcohol or substance use during their shift
• Wear assigned credentials while working
Failure to follow volunteer guidelines may result in removal from the volunteer program.
Volunteer Safety
The safety of volunteers and guests is a top priority. All volunteers will receive:
• Basic orientation before their shift
• Instructions for emergency procedures
• Direction on how to contact event staff if issues arise
Security and emergency services will be present throughout the event.

Do volunteers get breaks?
Yes. Volunteers working longer shifts will be given reasonable break periods.
Can volunteers watch the show?
When shifts are complete, volunteers may enjoy the event as guests if space allows.
